Kangarooo

Morning!

Yesterday was a fun day for us! We started with breakfast in Fortitude Valley, took a stroll in Chinatown, then left for Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and ended the evening at Brisbane Lookout in Mount Coot-tha.

We were so happy at the koala sanctuary where we could feed kangaroos and hold a koala. They are so cute!!!!!! I wish I could have one at home haha. We saw a baby kangaroo too and oh my God how sweet it was! The weather has been super with 23 degrees celsius and sun. It’s pretty cold in the evenings, like 15 haha. I guess that’s actually summer in Sweden 😛 Today we’re going to South Bank Parklands, Kangaroo Cliff Point and then watch the fireworks at the Ekka festival. But I’ll probably update you tonight or tomorrow about that 🙂

Restaurants:

Fatboy Burgers // This is in Fortitude Valley and was kind of our only option for breakfast since most of the places were closed around 10 o’clock (10 am). I had toast, fried eggs and bacon (yummy!) and my sister had a delicious omelet. We have breakfast to add at the hotel but it’s way too expensive so we’d rather eat out. Good breakfast at this place!

Summit Restaurant // Summit is in Mount Coot-tha and has the most amazing view of Brisbane. It was cold so we sat inside but we still had the view. The food was really good, we had a three course dinner hihi.

View point:

Mount Coot-tha // Woooooowwwwww what a beautiful view!!!! This is something nobody can miss if they ever visit Brisbane. There’s a café and a restaurant at this place and it’s so worth just sitting down and enjoy the lookout. Unfortunately we didn’t have the sunset on our side but the colors of the sky were breathtaking.

Sightseeing:

Chinatown // I don’t really have much to say about Chinatown as it was super small. There’s wasn’t really anything to see there haha. It took us like 1 min to pass it. Not a must…

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary // Wiiee happy place!!! I think we spent around 2 hours here and it was enough as it was not very crowded. We loved feeding and watching the kangaroos and holding the baby koalas. I can definitely go back there haha. Really loved this place, it was very good.
