Queenstown adrenalin

Don’t get me wrong with the headline now haha. I didn’t not do any of those suicidal bungy jumps, swings or sky dives haha. I just thought it’s the best way to explain what Queenstown actually is 😛

So on the day of arrival to Queenstown I checked in at Base Hostel, had a shower, got dressed and then went to the Skyline Gondola =) It was a nice ride up in the gondola but also a bit scary as I’m afraid of heights haha. While up there I didn’t stay long because there was a café and a restaurant but I was having dinner with some of my fellow travellers so it was basically just to see the view. Very beautiful!!!

After my visit at the top I went to the Red Rock Café for the dinner and it was nice. We had some nice chats and drinks and yeah, after that me and three others wanted dessert so we went to Patagonia Café whilst the others continued bar hopping. I had the most delicious dessert ever!! Chocolate mousse, meringue and strawberries. My god… I wish I could have it now (drooling).

It got quite late so I went back to sleep and the day after I had a very exciting tour booked =) But, it was in the early afternoon so I decided to have a walk around town and the lake. Stunning views as usual.

It was now time for my Quad Bike Tour which I booked through Nomad Safari. It was about 2 hours and we rode them up to Queenstown Hill which gave us a 360 degree view of the lake and mountains. Breathtaking of course ❤ Went back down again but before going back to our base we got a bit of a thrill riding them on big rocks, in water and a lot of ups and downs. So much fun!!!! I loved it and I can’t wait to do a quad bike tour again.

After my tour I had a wonderful dinner at Prime restaurant with the lake view. My steak was seriously the best one I’ve ever had. I wanted a second one but since I was having dessert at Patagonia again I thought I’d leave it like that 😛 Yes, I had my chocolate mousse again haha.

I stayed in Queenstown for two nights then went to Milford Sound and Te Anau for a total of two nights and then back to Queenstown for 1 night. I had made a reservation at Base again but this time shared dorm as it was really just for the night but I didn’t like Base much, very old and yuck so I checked in at Nomads instead and it was nicer but they had a crazy techno party just outside our room haha. Luckily my earplugs helped so I didn’t hear anything =D

Next up, Milford Sound
